Not a layout but...

Something cute for you guys! :3

Firstly, I would just like to say thank you for all of your lovely comments on my layouts, it's really nice to know that people like my layouts! I'm going to have a new one up soonish, it's just that I'm not 100% sure what the future has in store for this comm, when you consider the new ~updates LJ is implementing for our friends pages. If they're not customizable anymore, then what's the point in coding custom layouts? I'm worried, but until LJ 100% dies, I'll still be here making layouts. If/when LJ does put the new f-list into force, then I will still continue making layouts @ [community profile] dustier. But in the meantime, let's have a prayer circle and hope LJ sees sense before it's too late! :O

And now for something cute! If, when you're crediting me for your layouts, you would rather use a cute button, I've made one :D Just copy and paste the code in the box (hotlinking is fine) into your profile/credit entry, and you're good to go :) I'll make a few more later, when I'm more inspired :)

Thanks guys!

I hope LJ doesn't make such a drastic change to the friends page that the layout doesn't work anymore! They haven't done too much yet at least, though I'm not happy with the new profile page. Hope you'll be able to continue making layouts over here, the ones you have so far are gorgeous.

I hope they keep it the same way too, but ever since they implemented the new f-list and said eventually it'll become impossible to opt out, I've been losing hope :( I really enjoy making layouts, so hopefully they'll keep it like this for a while yet :) And thank you so much, that's lovely :)

Yeah I've been slowly losing hope too, I've just always liked LJ better than DW so seeing them implement all these unwanted changes makes me sad. I guess it wouldn't be a complete loss if the f-list changes can still be coded over without too much trouble, but over the last couple years there's been less and less active layout makers that are willing to fix the codes. I wish LJ had done their research and asked for input from the users before making these changes, I feel like it's starting to alienate us and I doubt it's doing much to bring them any new traffic.
